Overwintering Bees have been busy: Rearing Brood, Gathering new  Pollen and Nectar (From Silver and Red Maples).

Monday, March 17:  Open Meeting - The Keeper’s Hive 
  • Main Presentation:  β€œThe Keeper’s Hive”  A recently developed hive designed to make hive management easier and less stressful.  
    • Hive developers will be online to discuss working with The Keeper’s Hive. 
    • An actual hive will be present for members to examine.
  • Of course: There will be more. πŸ‘Œ 
  • Time and Location: Nature Center, Holliday Park, 6:30 PM

Saturday, March 22nd: Equipment Workshop and Field Day
  • Want help with your equipment? Boxes, Frames, Foundation πŸ€”
    • Deeps and Supers: Assembling New boxes. Evaluating and reconditioning used boxes
    • Frames and Foundation:  
      • Frames: Assembling new frames for wax foundation.
      • Foundation: Installing wax and plastic foundation
  • Have Questions for Experienced Beekeepers? Many will be on hand. πŸ˜ƒ
  • Socialize: Light refreshments and snacks available. πŸ˜‰
    • Pitch In contribution Appreciated - But not required.  
  • Time and Location:  Stay as Long as you like
