Beekeeping To-Do List: Thinking about Beekeeping? - Time to get planning in motion Where will you be keeping your bees? What Equipment will you need to order? Where to obtain your first bees? Working with experienced beekeepers is Very Important Look at PDF below to get you thinking…

Current Beekeepers - So far the weather has been on our side 😃 Signs of activity on warmer days? (Observe entrance DO NOT open hive) Yes? - Good 👍 - Some dead bees out front is OK, normal No? - Don’t panic… Keep checking on warmer days (“Dead Outs” can be addressed later on)

Sugar/Candy Boards Check status of your sugar/candy boards (Mark your calendars to check every 3-4 weeks) Lift top cover gently; have bees begun to work the sugar? If much has been consumed… Add more, lightly moistened, on paper DO NOT go deeper into brood nest

Check that entrance is clear - Use a small stick to sweep out dead bees which may have accumulated (No need to be excessive)

Equipment: Clean, repair as needed
