If you know of anyone ages 12-22 that is interested in beekeeping, they should know about this opportunity.  I have copied and pasted a note regarding TBoI's Young Beekeeper's Program.  There is money and mentoring provided with the requirement of a written report (nothing elaborate) each quarter during the year long program.  

If you know someone, the Central Indiana Beekeepers group would love to help and support a young person in this endeavor.

I wanted to reach out one final time, to remind you about the deadline for the Young Beekeeper Award application.

The Young Beekeeper of the Year Awards are presented at our Fall Conference, this year scheduled October 28/29th in Terre Haute, Indiana at the new Terre Haute Convention Center located at 800 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47807.  These awards encourage our younger beekeepers to be active in this rewarding hobby, and to share their knowledge and experience with our statewide group.  The Junior Division encompasses beekeepers ages 12-16, and the Senior Division includes beekeepers ages 17-22.  There are three prizes in each division.  Top prizes are $1,000.00 in the Senior Division and $250.00 in the Junior Division + $300.00 in equipment.  Also, a complimentary room at the Fall Meeting is provided for each of the six finalists by The Beekeepers of Indiana.  The deadline for submitting an application is September 1, 2022.

The Application information is on our website, indianabeekeeper.com under the Program tab.  Please feel free to encourage any young beekeepers that you know in The Beekeepers of Indiana to consider submitting an application.
