The Beekeepers of Indiana State Fair Booth 2019

Help is still Needed!!

Our CIBA club has volunteered to host the TBoI booth at the State Fair for two days,

Dates Are: August 4^th and Thursday August 15^th.

August 4^th is filled-thank you! But help is still needed for both shifts on Thursday Aug 15^th- please contact me if interested.

13031. Beekeepers of Indiana booth also needs volunteers for Aug 8^th, 12^th, 16^th and 18^th. Please contact Robert Duffy at beekeeperin@PROTECTED if interested in staffing the booth on any of those dates.

The booth sells TBoI honey, whipped honey; honey candy, honey lemonade and honey ice cream, lotion sticks, lip balm and beeswax candles which are made in Pioneer Village. Individual bee keepers also sell honey and honey related products.

Each day will have two shifts of volunteers-- 9am to 3pm and 3pm to 9pm.

• We will need a minimum of 7 to 9 volunteers plus a booth manager for each shift on Sunday the 15^th and Thursday the 4^th.

It’s hard to know what your schedule is a month from now, but if you are interested in volunteering, contact me with the day and shift you are interested in; I will e-mail you with more info in a week or so. If your schedule should change in next month and you now can or can’t volunteer, just let me know.

Ask your family and beekeeping friends to volunteer with you; you don’t have to be a member of the TBoI or even CIBA to participate.

You do not have to be a beekeeping expert- you know 100% more than the person asking the question and there are always other beekeepers to help answer questions.

It’s a great way to meet and learn from other beekeepers and it’s a lot of fun!

Our booth is in the Purdue Extension Agriculture Horticulture Building which is air conditioned and has a lunch concession area.

Entrance tickets to the fair are provided, so before or after your shift the fair is yours to enjoy! 🎉

You will have to pay for your own parking which is $8.00 per car.
