Mated Queens can be used for making your own splits. (Use a nuc box or single deep)
Remember, for splits:
- 1 - 2 frames of capped brood, with nurse bees
- If possible shake in more nurse bees from another brood frame
- A frame with honey/nectar and pollen
- Best to feed nuc 24/7 for first few weeks
