Early Fall Beekeeping Considerations - Here are a few

  • Colonies require adequate stores of BOTH honey and Pollen
    • Fall forage continues to decline, particularly nectar flow.
    • Some pollen is still available, but also declining
    • Feed 2:1, Sugar:Water syrup. INSIDE to discourage robbing
  • Robbing is still an issue. Take precautions
  • Are colonies populations adequate.  Consider combining weak colonies
  • Manage colony/hive configuration:
    • Try for brood area low, honey stores above
    • Compact hive volume as much as possible.

Bring your own Questions   -  Share your experiences.

Come - Listen - Ask - Learn.
