Late June and Early July are transition times for Both Bees and Beekeepers.
Do you know what to expect? What to watch for? What to do.?
- Hotter and drier days are coming — Nectar flows are declining rapidly
- Do you know about “Hive Bearding” what it indicates, what to do?
- Bees may begin consuming some stored spring honey
- Colony strength will decline
- Egg laying and brood rearing will drop off. How much is normal? - What to do?
- Colonies become more vulnerable to robbing, pests
- What to watch for.. Precautions to take.
