Our club has numerous IBA members Several have asked about absentee balloting;

As you know, at the November 7th annual meeting Indiana Beekeepers Association (IBA) members will be casting two ballots:

A ballot for officers: Vice President and Treasurer A ballot related to the potential merger of IBA with ISBA

Members unable to attend the meeting may vote absentee

Some of you have asked how this is done

For Your Information: Please be aware of the following:

Only IBA members in good standing may cast ballots (If you are not sure, you may cast a ballot, but you name will be checked against the official membership list ) Absentee Ballots Must: Must be received at the address listed below, and Arrive by 5:00 PM, Thursday, November 5th Ideally ballots should be posted by this Sunday, Nov 1st (Ballots posted on Monday, Nov 2nd, will probably arrive on time ) (Timely arrival at the address below, not the postmark, is the determining factor ) Instructions for balloting should be followed exactly as described below

How to Cast Your Vote

Record your vote on the ballot To preserve anonymity, do not put your name on the ballot Fold the ballot and place it in an envelope Seal the envelope Sign AND Print your name on the envelope (the signature for authentication, the printed version to read and verify your name) Place the sealed envelope in an outer envelope Mail to the following address at least 5 days before the deadline (Sunday, October 31st) for receipt by the Committee Chairman: Absentee Ballot Processing 1217 R Street Bedford, IN 47421

Deadlines (No Exceptions)

Absentee ballots must be requested or printed from the IBA website 7 days before the election Absentee ballots must be received to the address above no later than 5:00 p m , Thursday, November 5, 2015 Any ballots sent to any other location, will be invalid The IBA, and or any of its members, officers, or directors will not be responsible for late, non-delivered or misdirected absentee ballots
