Greetings CIBA Members:
Yes, we do have a Beekeepers Meeting tomorrow.
- Monday, August 17th, 6:30 PM:
- Deleware Township Community Center

- Fishers IN 46038
August and September can be challenging times for our bees. Many of us are noticing decreased production and hive populations; honey production is nothing like they heydays of April, May and June. This is a time for vigilance and looking forward to fall.
We will be addressing several topics tomorrow:
- Declining colony populations: Why and what to consider.
- Robbing: What is robbing, why does it occur, strategies minimizing.
- Feeding: When to start, what to feed, effective techniques.
- Forage: What’s on the nectar-pollen menu now and in the coming weeks?
- Mites: With brood populations down, this may be a time to treat for mites
- Oxalic acid vapor technique
- Alternatives
- Questions? — As always, bring your questions… We will do our best
