From: T & S Adamson <tsadamson@PROTECTED>Subject: [CIBA CORE] Re: Holiday Park ApiaryAll CIBA MembersWe need help with building the apiary at Holiday Park This weekend.Could you send out an all points bulletin to all CIBA members?Saturday @ 8:30AM & Sunday @ 9:30AM, we will be guiding Hiroki with the actual construction of the chain link fence enclosure. We will be digging post holes, mixing concrete, stretching fence, cutting off posts, spreading mulch, hanging gates, etc, etc.
- Friday Don & I will be laying apiary out and the positioning the post hole locations.
- Saturday we will be post hole digging (by hand), filling the holes w/ concrete and setting the posts.
- Sunday we'll cut the posts to the proper height, hang & stretch the fence & gate and spread mulch if the park still has some available.
So far it only looks like Don and I will be there to help Hiroki and his eagle scouts. The way this has unfolded, planning was extremely difficult, hence the cry for help. Hope this encourages folks to stop by and lend a hand.If anyone can bring a generator for Sunday it would be greatly appreciated and make cutting posts and drilling holes much easier. This will all help CIBA pay back our "costs" for having such a great place to meet every month. All beekeepers and friends and family welcome. The park is beautiful and has a great playground! Thanks,

Subject: [CIBA CORE] Bee population on the rise?
Bee population on the rise? According to this article the population is on the rise. But the source is from USDA, whom I presume is only a sampling of commercial. Also, is it from the big producers of packages and Nuc's? So maybe they are producing more in GA, but that does not indicate how many of those still die off.MattSubscription Reminder: You're Subscribed using the address: tsadamson@PROTECTED
