Good morning everyone. Sam Dodd wanted me to send a notice out to all club members about the Burdell hives we pick up . Right now there are 36 hives still available. We will not be sure of the cost until Fred takes our order Feb. 1st. He said they would be a little more than last year. We are expecting around $150.00 to $160.00 ea. If you would like to get on the list please send Sam an e-mail at cumbel02@PROTECTED and please CC me. Sam is having some trouble with his computer. He will be looking to confirm orders at the meeting Mon. He is trying to get this out to the club because people not in the central club are trying to get in on it. These 36 spots are reserved for the club on a first come basis. There is a possability that we will be able to pick up more than the normal 60 hives we usually do but we need to be sure we can transport that many without adding another vehicle because that would add greatly to the per hive cost. For those that don't know, these hives are 10 frames of bees and brood with an over- wintered queen. Fred makes Splits in Aug and over winters the colonies to sell in the spring.
